The Shoto Museum of Art Juried Exhibition 2026

We will be exhibiting at “The Shoto Museum of Art Juried Exhibition 2026 ” (Sunday, March 8, 2026 – Sunday, March 22, 2026) to be held at Shoto Museum of Art.

My work “AWAHI 567”  (The Space Between) has been selected through a juried process for the 2026 Shoto Museum of Art Open Call Exhibition.

“AWAHI” refers to the “interval” (awai) or “threshold” between things, and at the same time, it is a space for profound metamorphosis—where form, state, and essence undergo significant transformation. Just as the conscious and subconscious minds appear separate yet overlap, “AWAHI” is a space where “connections” and “boundless possibilities” unfold. It exists in the delicate spaces between:
• Heaven and Earth
• Life and Death
• This world and the hereafter
• One person and another
• Nature and humanity
These are invisible yet sacred spaces where we experience growth and change. I believe that by placing oneself within this space—feeling, accepting, and honoring it—new possibilities and transformations are born.
I created this HADO Art piece with a prayer: that by becoming conscious of this existence, you may take your first step toward understanding and embracing the power of “AWAHI” in your own life.
